Stages 2 - 20+

Sadly I haven't had time to put an update of the house on here until now.
Andrew and I have been super busy and stressed lately. To make a long story short, the tenants in our townhouse were having some issues and after only a few short days on being in the townhouse, they wanted out of their lease. I'll spare all the details, but after a few weeks went on, a very serious threat was made towards us and we felt it was best to get them out and find new tenants. Even though it caused so much stress, we DO feel that GOD had His hand in the whole situation and that there was a double meaning behind the whole situation. Looking back on it, we are thankful God used us in the way He had planned all along.
So, the whole month of August was spent advertising our townhouse for rent and scheduling showings. We were getting very irritated and stressed because we had several people interested but no one wanted to sign a lease. I'm happy to say that last week, we were contacted by a very nice engaged couple and they fell in love with our place. They right away called and put a deposit down on the place. They will be starting to move in next week! :)

But, back to the house! Neither Andrew or I have been making it a point to get up to the house everyday. I'm starting to realize that if I want pictures of every single step along the way, I'm going to have to make it a point to stop almost every day! They move so fast!! As of yesterday (Sunday, the 16th) it's only been 3 1/2 weeks since the hole was being dug. Now, as you'll see in the pictures, the house is basically framed and the roof sheeting is almost complete! It's CRAZY how fast they are moving along. It makes both Andrew and I SUPER excited to close and MOVE IN!! Our goal is November 1st. :)

August 24th, the footings were already laid.

By the following Monday, the foundation was poured!

This was during the last week in August. The foundation was poured, our water line was put in (and electricity box), and the vapor barrier (the black stuff) was put on before back filling.

This was over Labor Day weekend. The plumbing was completed downstairs and all the dirt was rough graded. Ready for concrete floors to be poured.

This was Sunday Sept 9th. The lumber had just been delivered to start the framing process.

Sunday, Sept 16th. Looking from the road. The front two windows are two bedrooms. For the time being, one will be the guest bedroom and the other will be our office. In the lower right corner it looks like a trash can blown over, that is actually one of our shower stall surrounds. :)

The SW corner of the house. The 2 small windows are the transom windows for above our bed in the Master. The 1st window (from left to right) is also in our Master Bedroom. The next opening is the huge windows in our Great Room. Then the sliding doors out to our patio and you can barely see the small window on the far right which is above the kitchen sink. HELLO Natural Light!!
